Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this:
The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
His mercies begin afresh each morning.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!”
Lamentations 3 v 21-24
Let us Pray
(text in bold should be prayed altogether out loud)
Lord, we thank you that you are
- A faithful God,
- A loving God,
- and a merciful God,
We know that you have called us to step beyond ourselves into a world that is longing for your grace, love, truth and hope.
We are your people Lord and you have called each one of us, to share this message of hope with others.
We pray for our partners and the people we’ll serve
For church leaders to be refreshed
For children who will hear your message of hope for the first time
For the elderly who have been isolated from loved ones
For families who need reminded of your grace and mercy
We pray for the communities we will serve
We pray for the people in Lisburn, in Ballymacash and Harmony Hill
In Belfast, we pray for Shankhill, Rosetta, Milltown and Malone
We pray for our teams in Coleraine, Portrush and Portadown
For groups in Derry and Enniskillen, Donegal, Dublin and Cork
We pray for the ministry in Carrick and Newtownabbey, Banbridge and Newcastle
From North to South, East to West of this land, Lord, bless each team as they serve you.
We pray for our team leaders
For strength and courage
For boldness and wisdom
For unity and grace
May they know you as their Good Shepherd
And finally we pray for ourselves and our team mates
This summer as we serve together Lord
Work in our hearts
Bless our friendships
Reveal yourself in new ways
Empower each of us, through your Spirit, to bring hope to many.
May this be a summer full of transformation - in us, and around us.
In Jesus name we pray,
