Joanne's Internship Experience
This past year has been jam-packed and has involved taking School assemblies, SUs, CUs, planning Saturday nights, being part of the hosting team, contacting volunteers, looking after the venue and administrative work!
Before I came to Exodus I wasn't sure or confident enough to say 'Yes, this is what I'm good at'. But over this year I have come to realise that I am good at things and that I have qualities and talents to contribute to God's work.
I have also been stretched in my faith and have learnt to rely on God for everything I need. In today's society we live in a culture where everything that we want is there and all we have to do is grab and take it. This year I haven't had the same resources as before so it meant that I had to pray for any extra money that has been needed. E.g. going to Bible College, going to Poland etc. This has shown God to me so evidently and it has been a real comfort to know daily that no-matter what I do God is there and he will provide.
It's sad to think that I will be finishing with Exodus soon, but throughout this year God has been showing a plan to me to go into His ministry. I will be studying for a degree at Belfast Bible College in Youth Work and Theology, and I will be, God-willing, working at a local Church in Lisburn. I'm not really sure where God will lead me then, but no-matter what I know He will go with me every step of my journey.
