In November Exodus Romania opened a new centre in the city of Zalau about 40 minutes from the residential centre in Sutor. This new facility provides office space for me but crucially it is a safe place for the local young people to meet, a space where they can participate in mentoring, prayer meetings, youth nights and small group activities. It has been amazing how God has provided for us, with all the furniture being donated by a Christian organization from Germany.
I have also been developing a partnership with another youth organisation – ‘Step out - Step in’ – a Christian youth project focused on using hill walking and other outdoor activities to reach and disciple local young people from the Transylvania region. Levente Denes (Levi), leads this organisation and he now has office space at the new centre.
On the 27th of November we organised the first big gathering with the youth from Zalau, and they loved this place. Since then we had a prayer meeting, and a "Girls circle" meeting. It really seems that our dream that this place can be more than just an office is already coming true. People love it, they use it, and they know that here they are in the presence of God, and they can be free.
