Godly in a Foreign Land

Joseph - The Art of Forgiveness

In Deep this year we have been thinking about what it means to be Godly in a foreign land. This week our the theme was ‘The Art of Forgiveness’, looking at the life of Joseph.

In the Coleraine Venue, Joel Rosborough, one of our interns in the North-West, shared a message with the young people. We looked at how important forgiveness was in Joseph's story with his brothers, and thought about how this compares to God forgiving us through Christ on the cross.

One of our volunteers, Ben, said,

I understood in a new way how God carried the weight of everyone's sin. We can barely carry the burden of our own sin and it brought home just how much He loves me, and how important it is that I share this love and forgive others.

We look forward to continuing our Godly in a Foreign Land series when we'll be looking at the life of Moses and thinking about perserverance.
